For the past ten years a collaboration between the University of Waterloo and the Advanced Laser Light source (ALLS) has studied molecular dynamics, through the Coulomb imaging technique, utilising the few cycle pulses and femtosecond UV sources available at ALLS. A recently funded twelve million-dollar upgrade to the ALLS facility will be available from 2021 including a new suite of high repetition rate wide spectral range lasers and a new end station, currently under construction at the University of Waterloo. This new Waterloo-ALLS managed end station will consist of a reaction microscope capable of detecting multiple ions and electrons in coincidence and open the possibilities of studying new electron dynamics phenomena, such as quantum interference.
