I will discuss attosecond delays in laser-assisted photoionization with an emphasis on heavy elements and how relativistic effects affect the angular dependence of the photoionization delay, how resonances can promote spin-dynamics and how measurements of the atomic delay can be used to differentiate between different decay processes. The focus will be on the theoretical treatment, especially in connection with RABBIT (reconstruction of attosecond beating by two-photon transition) - experiments with their combination of high temporal and spectral resolution.
