We will review coherent diffractive imaging approaches in the light of high harmonic generation properties. I will focus on challenges such as partial coherence, 3 dimensional image reconstruction, attosecond broadband structure of high harmonic generation. We will conclude by drawing the potential of coherent diffraction in quantum imaging with undetected photons.
