Quantum Battles in  Attoscience

VIRTUAL WORKSHOP

01 - 03 July 2020, ONLINE

Topical issue

Quantum Aspects of Attoscience

We are guest editing a Topical Issue Quantum Aspects of Attoscience in The European Physical  Journal D, which will complement and enhance the present workshop. As part of this Topical Issue, we will include three planned multi-author review/perspective articles, on each of the three “battle” topics: Tunneling, Quantum Interference (and application to attosecond imaging), and Methods (numerical and analytical).

Further to this, we invite contributions for regular articles from the attoscience, ultrafast physics and quantum technology communities.

Topics to be covered include but are not limited to:
  • Interferometric schemes and high-order harmonic spectroscopy
  • Attosecond imaging of matter
  • Ultrafast photoelectron holography
  • Chiral light and chiral targets
  • Sculpted fields
  • Electron-electron correlation
  • Free-electron lasers
  • Attoscience in topological systems
  • Strong-field phenomena in long wavelengths

The list of topics stated above is non-exhaustive, and the issue is open to everyone, whether they attend the meeting or not. For more information on the call for papers please click here
